Where Your
Donations Go
Innocence Canada is the only national non-governmental organization working to exonerate the wrongly convicted.
Innocence Canada is fortunate to have volunteer case reviewers who contribute thousands of hours each year. However, proving claims of innocence requires more than volunteer time. To ensure rigorous case review and oversight, we also rely on paid reviewers and staff lawyers. In addition, financial support is vital for the many other expenses involved in this work:
Uncover new evidence and verify key details to support wrongful conviction claims.
Conduct forensic analysis to test questionable forensic evidence used in convictions.
Receive critical case insights from specialists in law, science, and psychology
Re-examine testimonies, locate new witnesses, and gather statements to verify original claims.
Obtain records essential for appeals and case reviews.
Provide in-person investigations and support by our legal team and investigators.
